About me

Doheum Park is a researcher in the fields of complex network, data science, culture technology, quantitative marketing, and interactive media. He is especially interested in the interpretation of culture as a complex system, culturoinformatics.

Doheum holds a BS in Computer Engineering, with the highest honors, from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. As an undergraduate, he wrote his senior thesis on “Web-cam eye gaze estimation with lighting interaction.” Also, he holds a MS in Culture Technology from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) with his master thesis “Topology and Evolution of the Network of Western Classical Music Composers.”

He currently lives in Daejeon, ROK, where he pursues PHD in Culture Technology at KAIST and his PhD thesis is “Quantitative Understanding of the Collaboration and Innovation in the Creation of Western Classical Music.”
